The Bonfire on the village green is growing steadily as each household brings out their unwanted garden rubbish and household items... by Saturday it will be enormous. We always have a village firework display (organised by Andy and Keren), and this year it will start at sundown with food being provided by the Fox and Hounds........ its always brilliant so come along if you can make it!!
I've had a real sort out in the shop this morning, turning my wool shelves round to give me more light and more space..... its given me a much better view of the garden too....... which needs a good weed!!...
When I went to feed the sheep this morning they were all in really good spirits.. Melody has clearly gone up in the pecking order of the hareem and played the same game as Dudley, cutting off any others who got too close to me... even those much larger than herself....... Dudley has definitely made it clear that he likes her and that his new princess should be treated nicely and not be bossed around too much..... Clever girl! ..... Hope that the other gimmer lambs have the same effect!! Curley is staying quite close when I'm in the field as I think she's a bit nervous, but she's friends with Melody so that will help her standing!
Even Mitsie was quite friendly this morning........ she's had her nose pushed well and truly out of joint........ she's always been top sheep for affection and attention from us and she's not used to youngsters taking her crown!! She's spent the last 10 days pointing her bottom at us if we tried to get close to her and then walks away like "Miss Piggy"... but today she needed a massage, so we've been forgiven at last! ........... What are they like!
