We have had quite a time of it recently.....

With elderly parents who are not very well, farming and hay making, and a break in Budapest, its been rather hectic!

We have also been making plans for 5th July, when the Tour de France hits the Yorkshire Dales....... its going to be a lock in for the best part of a week with thousands of visitors expected....... I think we are going to have gridlock for the whole weekend, so we'll have to get lots of food bought and then hunker down!!!

On the shop front, I've been really  busy now that the summer season has started and the sun has been shining... There will be some massive crops of hay and silage this year......... so i've been warping my loom with some lovely axminster wool and are in the middle of a rug... its taken on a life of its own, with the colours lightening with the berber I'm using in the weft to bulk up the thickness....... but you know... I really like it...... It's going to be 3' x 5' and I've warped enough for two.

I went to my weaving group yesterday and had a lovely day with like-minded people who have so much knowledge to impart... I always gain some little gem of information and love chatting to them all...

This morning I have had a really busy morning.. of course all the animals need feeding first with little Daisy May rushing to the front of the que.... I adore her.. 

Next my friend Cheryl came over with sausage rolls for a mid morning snack and some more of her beautiful items for the shop... then while I was making another cuppa she spied a rabbit in our vegetable garden.... so went down to frighten it away... bit like "Mr McGregor"... but found something quite exciting instead....... my bees had swarmed.....

As it is this may have happened yesterday according to my next door neighbour, but at least they were still in the garden....... so I donned my gear, grabbed a box and scooped them up....... I had a spare hive so I made a ramp and threw them on........ there they are steadily inhabiting their new premises!! Hope they stay put!!!! 

This is what is left so I think I've got most of them... they were hanging on this post so took a few goes to get them....
