For example.........
The cold wax flakes were put into a big glass mixing bowl and after the first couple of blasts on full power got hot and began to become fluid before melting... we called this the soft and silky stage because it felt lovely on your hands........ next when the wax started to melt... we got the the Cauliflower Cheese stage....... after some more blasts the heat turned the wax into the Rice pudding stage......... then the Semolina stage so we knew we were close.... and finally when we got to the warm Milk stage we knew we were there!!
We started by dipping the metal ends to the wicks into the wax and them glued them into the bottoms of the glasses, attaching them upright by pegging the other end to pencils balanced across the rim of the glass....... then dipped a warm jug into the wax, but later used the bowl to pour the wax into the jug as it was less messy...gently pouring the was into each glass....... Now we have 18 beautifully scented candles... maturing... we have the labels to sort out and then they'll be ready for sale in the shop....... we are really pleased with them! Fragrances for home and Christmas!
