When they got too big to sit on my lap, I began sitting in the barn with them... using the same words, only patting the ground next to me so we could all continue with the relaxed affection which I enjoy as much as they do.... when Jonty sat down yesterday it was lovely...... I've been trying to explain it to Tottie for a couple of weeks now, and when she finally understood, we both relaxed with the achievement, just look at her face..... Lottie does it too... and you can see by the expression on Dixie's face that it won't be long before she too joins in..... now that the others will let her!
I've been rambling lately about how my beautiful babies have decided to sit with me for a love after they finish their tea each evening... Even Jonty decided to join the throng on Friday... after leaning on me while I picked off all the greenery he'd collected during the day... but last night for the first time my Tiny "Tottie" finally got the meaning of patting the ground with the words "sit down"..... Melody has always understood it, probably because I used to talk to her as newborn, and used the words when I sat her on my knee after her bottle every time I fed her..... Megan, the one wrapped around me, also had the same treatment, although for a much shorter time... but she gets it!
