I had sat on a stone stoking Melody while she was sulking, after she had walked away in disgust at my audacity to make a fuss of several others... Vincent is in the next field, and when she deemed to get up she batted her eyelashes at him while rubbing up and down a tree trunk... She's such a tease and he looked so frustrated!
Jonty was particularly snuggly... going all coy when I tickled him behind the ears and leaning on my knee which he can just about reach these days...
The hamsters were just as boisterous as ever with the gentle soles, Lottie, Freckly and Lupin casually looking into my eyes for some attention and when I put a red bucket of Crystalix in the field there was a mad rush... Dixie came off best... just like her mother Mitsie.. she was wearing more than she ate.... unlike the older sheep they still share, so there were as many heads as would fit in at one time... with little Tiny Tottie burrowing in from below when no one was looking..
I packed up the car and was just saying my goodbyes when another car pulled up behind me... ah it was Mick with his daughter Kate. They had been to West Burton to deliver some newly made Walking Sticks to the shop... and had found I was missing.. must have missed me on the way... anyway... lots of beautiful sticks.. made in all sorts of woods and finished in a variety of ways, we had a look, popped them in the back of the car to save Mick another trip over and patted several lambs on the head before coming home... if you'd like a new stick, drop into the shop and see if one chooses you!!
Oh and I've had a delivery of Felt Pebble Pin Cushions from Lindsey Tyson too... so watch out on the web site.. I'll be photographing them and posting them very soon!!
