As the old blog has had to go, I wanted to remind you of just how cute Melody was when she was first born... she is 5 months old now and has changed out of all recognition.. she still thinks she's my little girl though and gets into quite a paddy when another lamb takes my attention... tonight was one of those occasions.. I'm still bottle feeding Megan so all the others still get a little bit... Melody came to the gate with everyone else tonight, but barged through the others swiping poor Jonty round the face with her bottom, and thus spreading poo all over his nose.... he then transferred this all over the bottle, me and his sister.... oh boy it was everywhere.... I saved him some, fed the rest and then gave them their creep feed...... problem was he now spread poo all over the trough.... Now.... Nigel sprayed all the nettles in the field and they are as dry as tinder, and Millie has been teaching them all how to much them...... they are not coming to any harm... but they are now used to me sitting in a heap with them picking off all the dry leaves they get stuck in their fleeces... Jonty included..... Bless him.. he let me wash his face... and then using one of the tea towels that I keep in the bucket to stop the milk getting cold and sliding round, dry it like a child having its face washed with a flannel........ he didn't bat an eyelid...... once clean he finished his nuts and then came back for his bottle... Clever lad!
Nigel took some lambs to market at 7.30 this morning as has come home in a right mood..... prices were well down from 2 weeks ago and he wished he'd brought them home again...... well its how it goes?.... he'll be getting a list tonight for freezer orders...... its Chip Night!
Today had been incredible in the shop... and on the net.... lots of visitors on both... lots of sales too and I'm getting used to my new regime...... I have to cancel anything sold in the shop or from the site as most are one off items.... and then fill in some of the gaps with more product........ I'll soon get in the swing of it........ today's new additions are on the #Home Accessories page...... Thank you to people ordering on line...... I'm turning the orders round on the same day today... its really exciting!!
